They really are an affordable solution to stairs in an area that experiences high erosion and installation was quite easy!
Thank you, Lisa! This is perfect for our need.
Our experience with ezbeach steps:

Installation was done by my husband, two brother-in-law’s and the neighbor in less than 3 hours. Our stair sections weighed a little over 100 pounds each, so the four men had no trouble managing them, in spite of the challenging terrain of our bank. The people at EZbeachsteps gave us some great verbal directions at time of pick-up. Since the design is intuitive and easy, a 9/16 wrench, some galvanized pipe and level are about all you need to put the steps in.
Absolutely a well-engineered product. Extremely accurate and strong construction. Lisa was amazing to work with from the beginning of the project! Five of us were able to install the steps in just two days. My grandchildren are thrilled to have access to the beach. Thank you EZ Beach Steps!
We did it! Not too bad with 4 guys. Turned out nice and sturdy. These steps are the best idea ever! We will never have to worry about damage from mother nature or have to spend time staining wooden stairs again!
I recently built a home on Lake Michigan. Like many of my neighbors in Southwest Michigan, my 88 ft. cliff is in a state of perpetual erosion, given water seeping from the upper clay levels. I recently built a home on Lake Michigan. Like many of my neighbors in Southwest Michigan, my 88 ft. cliff is in a state of perpetual erosion, given water seeping from the upper clay levels. Brittle wooden stairs and supports were not a solution given their intolerance for ground movement. Instead, I was fortunate to contact Lisa Spaugh, the owner EZ Beach Steps, an innovative aluminum alternative to traditional wooden stairs. Lisa introduced me to Clayton Kuipers, the owner of Lake Shore Customs, a preferred EZ Beach Step installation company. Clayton and his team assessed my eroding cliff and challenging beach access situation and provided an affordable bid to construct a stair and deck solution. Clayton's crew built the system over 5 or 6 working days, much to my satisfaction. The EZ Beach Stairs are made of strong and durable material and the installation was built to last. I highly recommend EZ Beach Steps of West Olive and Lakeshore Customs of Holland, Michigan.

The design has several benefits:
1. A 10-foot section can be carried by two people, although carrying it while climbing down the bluff is better with three or four people.
2. The steps have a "scissors" action to them that allows you to position the steps on the bluff according to how steep your descent is, while keeping the steps/treads themselves level.
3. Each set of steps connects to the section above it with a bracket, so only two steep posts at the bottom of each section are required to install each set of EZ Steps or platform.
4. The steps and platforms also come with handrails that are easy to install.
